The Mara Beef Company raises top quality beef on their Naretoi Farm as well as within the Enonkishu Conservancy on the edge of the Maasai Mara. Our animals are all grass fed feeding on a forage mixture of irrigated Sudan grass and Rhodes. We like to think the flavor is a testament of a happy livestock.
The Mara Beef Company raises top quality beef on their Naretoi Farm as well as within the Enonkishu Conservancy on the edge of the Maasai Mara. Our beef farming business is dedicated to supplying consistently high quality beef to wholesalers and consumers. We specialize in Boran, Aberdeen Angus and Zebu breeds. We are also using a mix of Simmental, Aberdeen Angus and Boran varieties of cattle, which when combined in our strategic breeding plan, creates a mix of optimum traits making the perfect beef herd.
We work together with the Enonkishu Conservancy in a wildlife-livestock integrated approach. We are engaging with the local Maasai community to establish sustainable livestock production, reducing overgrazing and overstocking, conserving and restoring biodiversity as well as a grazing management system.
Our beef products are produced free range off the pastures on the farm and in the surrounding conservancies.
The beef is processed on site in our state of the art abattoir and distributed to Nairobi and elsewhere on a daily basis. On site processing creates minimum stress for the animals resulting in a higher quality product.
Free from any growth hormones or feed additives, our beef is natural and full of flavour.
Mara Beef prides itself in delivering good quality beef, vertically integrated from the farm to the fork.
Our truly Kenyan team is made up of hard working and passionate individuals who not only love their work, but also see the value in the Maasai Mara and love where they live.
